The Town Players of Newtown is proud to announce the plays that have been selected for production for its 2020 season.

CT Woolcrafters, which launched early last year and has continued with monthly meetings at the town library, will host its first meeting of the new year on January 14.

On Sunday, January 12, Newtown Historical Society will co-host “Hamilton: Misery, Money, and the Musical that Made Him Famous.” The program will begin at 2 pm at C.H. Booth Library, and it will be presented by Dr Raymond E. Sullivan.

The Flagpole Photographers Camera Club will open the new year with their annual Roundtable Discussion. Later this month members will have their first monthly competition of 2020.

Sandy Hook Promise will be the beneficiary of a fundraising concert, "Echoes of Sinatra and Dino," on Saturday, January 11, at The Ridgefield Playhouse.

Fundraising has begun for the 2020 trip being planned by Newtown Ecumenical Workcamp Servants.

Newtown Choral Society has announced openings in all voices for its spring concert, set for May 16 at Newtown Meeting House.

The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown will welcome Adele Moros as its guest artist for the first program of the new year.

Boy Scouts from Troop 270 in Newtown will be available to pick up Christmas trees from the homes of residents in Newtown and Sandy Hook for three consecutive weekends starting on January 4.
