The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown will host Jane Penfield painting a landscape in pastel on Wednesday, February 26.

Newtown’s First Poet Laureate, Lisa Schwartz, originally appointed in 2015 and now serving her second term, will be resigning her position September 30, ahead of a move out of the area. This will open the position for the honorary post. Applications are now open.
