Bill Kleinert

Babe Ruth Baseball Coach

Bill Kleinert, 49, beloved husband of Mary (Dowling) Kleinert of the Sandy Hook section of Newtown, died unexpectedly December 16, at Danbury Hospital. He was born in Wilmington, Del., December 9, 1960, a son of Ann Marie (Roberts) and Stuart W. Kleinert.

Mr Kleinert was raised in Delaware and Rhode Island and was a graduate of Veterans Memorial High in Warwick, R.I. He then attended Bryant College in Smithfield, R.I., and graduated in 1983. The Kleinerts were married on September 5, 1987, in the United Methodist Church, Darien.

He worked for Pitney Bowes for 25 years in Stamford and Shelton. A resident of Newtown five years and previously of Bridgeport, Mr Kleinert was a coach for Newtown Babe Ruth Baseball League.

In addition to his wife, his daughter Nicole and his son Ryan of Sandy Hook, a sister, Elizabeth Kleinert of Warwick, R.I., and several nieces and nephews survive him.

A memorial service was held Monday, December 21.
