Occupation: I'm the crew chief with the highway department for the Town of Newtown. I've been with them for ten years.

Family: My wife Tina and I have four children, Vincent, who is 18; Ryan, who is 13; Brianna, 11; and Sarah, who is 8 years old.

Pets: We have one dog, a toy poodle. His name is Cocoa and he is 6 years old.

How long have you lived in Newtown? I've lived here all of my life, 33 years.

What do you like to do in your free time? We do a lot of camping. We have a 32-foot, fifth wheel camper. I'm the assistant fire chief for the Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company, and have volunteered with them for 17 years. I like to watch movies, too, mostly at home.

Do you have a favorite movie? I like the mob movies like A Bronx Tale, Goodfellas and Casino. And I like a lot of John Candy and Steve Martin movies. They're good for a laugh.

Do you have a favorite travel destination? We went last year to Myrtle Beach, S.C., and I liked that a lot. There was always something to do, but the best part was that we camped right on the ocean front — beautiful. This summer we're going to Lake George, just for relaxing.

What is the best thing about Newtown? My thoughts would be the Sandy Hook Fire Company. We're like family down there. I co-chair the LobsterFest, which is a lot of fun.

What are some of the biggest changes you have seen around town? All of the old farms are now housing developments, and the increase in traffic, especially on Church Hill Road.

Do you have a favorite memory of Newtown? The 4th of July fireworks at Dickinson Park in the 1980s. The whole town would go to the park and spend the day, and then at night, there were the fireworks.

What is the best gift you have ever received? The best gift I ever got was growing up and having my grandparents at the house every Sunday, both my father's and my mother's parents. A lot of people don't even get to meet their grandparents, and we had ours every week. No matter what, they came up from Bridgeport every Sunday to spend it with us. And having excellent parents is a real gift, too.

What is your personal philosophy? Good memories can outweigh any bad day.

Do you have a guilty pleasure? Cookies and Cream ice cream. I'm not even going to say how much I can eat at once.
