Raymond F. Martens III, 53, of Monroe, died at his home on February 3. Known as "Jr," he was born on June 9, 1963, in Bridgeport.

His parents, Marie R. Martens and Raymond F. Martens, Jr, of Monroe; and two brothers, Ronald and Richard of Newtown, survive him.

Mr Martens was a mechanic, welder, and talented fabricator. He was an avid motorsports enthusiast. He enjoyed traveling, geography, and history - especially the Civil War period.

A private ceremony and interment was conducted with family on February 7.
