Raymond Blaise Renzoni, 88, of Trumbull died peacefully on October 7, surrounded by his loving family in his home. Born in Bridgeport on February 24, 1928, he was one of nine children born to Italian immigrant parents, Rosaria (Scanzillo) Renzoni and John Renzoni.

His experience with the Great Depression instilled in Mr Renzoni's compassionate heart a tremendous spirit of patriotism, entrepreneurship, and love for all mankind. He proudly served his country in the Navy during World War II and enjoyed a lifetime association with the Second Company Governor's Foot Guard of New Haven.

A great lover of music, he began his career as an entertainer and eventually became the owner and operator of several successful businesses, including R&R Investments, Andrea Chemical and Supply Co., RB Renzoni Real Estate, and most recently, Fairfield Floor Covering Shop, a business he operated with his family for more than 20 years.

Mr Renzoni was an inspiration to many, encouraging others to never give up the realization of their dreams, to conquer adversity, and make the world a better place. His high level of energy, positive attitude, ebullient sense of humor, love of people, and his desire to help others made him a popular figure in the community. His knowledge of the business and financial markets allowed him to be an instant hit at gatherings, offering relevant financial advice.

He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Irma Almonte Renzoni, sister Stella Cavaliere and brothers John Renzoni, Primo Renzoni and Silvano Renzoni. His generous spirit and laughter remain in the hearts of his devoted daughters and caregivers, Rita Renzoni of Trumbull, Andrea Bascetta of Cheshire, and Rosanna Rogers of Sandy Hook. Sons-in-law Richard Bascetta and Donald Rogers, sisters Antoinette Smeraglinolo of Florida and Genevieve Malota of Seymour, brothers Dominick Renzoni of Stratford and Thomas Renzoni of Florida also survive him.

The family would like to thank the West Haven Veterans Hospital, Trumbull Senior Center, and EMS, Vitas, and Brightstar, especially caregiver Marie Jean.

Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Thursday, October 13, at 9 am, in the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, and at 11 am in St Margaret's Shrine, 2523 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, with a Mass of the Christian Burial.
