The Sing-In will be held at the Valley Presbyterian Church, 21 West Whisconier Road (off Route 133). Visit CTChoralSociety.org for directions.

CCS sing-ins serve many purposes: to give singers an opportunity to either sight-read (or re-visit) a major work, to give non-singers a chance to hear a free, “on-the-spot” performance (and gain an appreciation for choral rehearsal techniques), and for all to become acquainted with the Choral Society, its director, and its activities. For choral singers, it gives a “music fix” during the summer when the chorus is not rehearsing.

Eric Dale Knapp is noted for his dynamism, fresh interpretations of musical repertoire and charismatic leadership of instrumentalists and singers alike. Mr Knapp is in his fifth year as artistic director and conductor of CCS.

Founded in 1980, the Connecticut Choral Society is committed to providing a music resource for Connecticut, encouraging the singing and performance of choral music of high artistic quality and stimulating greater appreciation and enjoyment of choral music. The group performs locally several times each year and has appeared at Carnegie Hall, toured internationally and performed on network television.
