Superhero Science Marvels Campers

Using superheroes as inspiration, campers in Newtown Parks & Recreation's Superhero Science camp, which ran July 9 to 13, conducted experiments under the guidance of instructor Brad Line from High Touch High Tech, a Weston-based group that provides science programs for students.Fantastic Four Marvel characters. "It's really cool because we launched rockets yesterday... and we do science experiments and superhero stuff," said camper Sam Evans-Oquendo, 8, on July 11.

Camper Ryan Gilman, 8, said he learned about the camp from his mom, and he thought it sounded fun.

"I like experiments," said camper Tamzen Spaleta, 8.

Throughout the week, Mr Line said, the campers conducted different experiments based on the powers that superheroes have in comics.
