As thunder roared in the distance and rain made its way through Newtown late in the afternoon of Tuesday, August 7, the C.H. Booth Library's weekly chbMAKER'S Corner activity proceeded as scheduled. For more information on the C.H. Booth Library, visit chboothlibrary.org.

During the session, Young Adult Librarian Abbey Lynch taught students how to make their own customized stickers using the library's newest piece of equipment.

She showed the step-by-step process of how after drawing and cutting out their desired design, all participants had to do was place the paper in the adhesive machine, turn the crank, and by the time the design came out the other end, the sticker would be made.

Students in the class created a variety of stickers, including perfect summertime designs like smiling flowers and palm trees.

The next chbMAKER'S Corner craft session will be Tuesday, August 14, from 4 to 5 pm, for teens entering sixth through twelfth grade.
