Stephen V. Del Vento, Sr, 77, of Milford and formerly of Trumbull, died September 4 in his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bridgeport on December 14, 1939, he was a son of the late Louise (Chapman) and Stephen A. Del Vento.

His beloved wife of 56 years, Arlene A. (Nemeth) Del Vento of Milford; his loving children, Stephen V. Del Vento, Jr, of Newtown, Christine Rapillo and husband Brian of Trumbull, and John Del Vento and wife Suzanne of Trumbull; five grandchildren, Anthony, Stephanie, Nicholas, Tyler, and John; three brothers, Vito, Robert, and Russell Del Vento; and several nieces and nephews survive him.

His sister, Theresa Polifka, predeceased him.

Mr Del Vento worked as a tool and die maker at Bullard's in Bridgeport and was co-owner of City Cement Block Co. in Bridgeport and Henderson Trumbull Supply Company in Trumbull.

Friends may call on Thursday, September 7, from 4 to 8 pm, in the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Avenue, Bridgeport.

Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Friday, September 8, at 11 am, directly in St Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull, for a Mass of the Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
