Stephen A. Ketchum

Stephen A. Ketchum, 48, husband to his loving wife Tanya (Corrigan), died March 15.

A lifelong resident of Bridgewater, Mr Ketchum served the town for many years as a volunteer firefighter and ambulance driver.

He was a police officer in Newtown for 25 years, and was a 9/11 responder at the World Trade Center.

Mr Ketchum was a nature lover, animal lover, avid hiker, and lover of vintage cars.

He fought his disease with courage, determination, and optimism. His family will be forever grateful to Dr Michael Cohenuram and the staff of Praxair Cancer Center.

His mother, M.Z. "Ziggie" Ketchum; sister Corey LaRocque, and husband Alan; brother Randy Ketchum, and wife Erika; and two nephews survive Mr Ketchum. His father, Dennis L. Ketchum, predeceased him.

Calling hours will take place Sunday, March 20, from 3 to 5 pm, at the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge Street, New Milford. There will be a private funeral at a later date.
