The C.H. Booth Library and Newtown Economic Development Commission (EDC) announce Nelson Merchan, business advisor with Connecticut Small Business Development Center (CTSBDC), will provide small business support hours weekly at the library.

Entrepreneurs and existing business owners can take advantage of this free business support resource. Mr Merchan will be located on the third floor in the Reference Department on Thursdays from 2 to 4:30 pm.

The library and EDC are collaborating to help businesses grow and thrive in Newtown. EDC officials believe that the CTSBCD can help bring added-value to local business owners and entrepreneurs.

The CTSBDC provides no-cost advising services to both prospective and existing business owners to help them start or expand their business. Its mission is to help businesses start, grow, and thrive by providing customized advising, education, and network resources to entrepreneurs and small businesses in Connecticut.
