St Rose of Lima School hosted its graduation ceremony on Saturday, June 4, in the church building.

The 42 graduates have received more than $572,000 in merit-based scholarships, according to St Rose Director of Mission Advancement Paula Spellman.

The ceremony's commencement address was given by St Rose Student Council President and graduate Michael Bachman. During his time at the school, Michael said he has realized "this community really is superior to any other school.

"We have rigorous academics, a multitude of extracurricular activities and teachers who inspire us to work as hard as we can. But what really makes St Rose so special is that we are a family. Every day, for eight years, when I have driven up to school, I haven't seen a school building, I've seen my second home. When I've walked into class I haven't seen the faces of my classmates, but, rather, those of my brothers and sisters."

St Rose, Michael said later, has developed foundations of strong faith and strong character for each of the graduates.

"From here, however," Michael said, "it is up to us to choose what we will do with them."

Members of the eighth grade graduating class, as released by the school, are Sabrina Capodicci, Erin Sudbey, Anthony Dacache, John Queenan, Aiden Mullen, Jack Boushie, Nathan Erdtmann, Natalene Sim, Christopher Beal, Caroline Brown, Francesca Coppola, Andrew Doering, Ethan Garcia, Olivia Heineken, Michael Iannucci, Peter Johston, Hunter Kirkman, Ryan McNerney, James Mok, Michael Pinero, Joseph Rios, Madison Rooney, Stephen Sedensky, Michael Bachman, Carla Fabrizio, Maya Welber, Olivia Cavallero, Patrick Grover, Adam Kliczewski, Mary Locke, Rebecca McHugh, Kevin Tran, Catherine Biasetti, Katherine Bonomo, Coleman Tokar, Justin Cardiello, Carla Guirguis, Jenny Lee, Adele Whitlock, Anastasia Meltzer, Maria Pagliaro, and Marianella Salinas.
