‘Shack’ Screening, Special Discussion, October 28 At St Rose

The public is invited to join members of St Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, October 28, for a screening of the movie The Shack, depicting one man’s journey through grief to forgiveness and the healing that comes from it.

The movie will be followed by a discussion moderated by Father Peter John Cameron, OP, editor-in-chief of Magnificat, and author of ten books, the most recent of which is titled, Prayers for the Moment (Ignatius Press). The collection of “rare spiritual gems” chosen for their “insight and spiritual depth, expressing the heart’s desire to draw closer to God” ( was published in 2015.

The event will take place from 11 am to 4:30 pm. It will be in the St Rose of Lima Holy Innocents Faith Formation Center, 38 Church Hill Road.

The program will begin with a light buffet lunch, with the movie starting at noon. All are invited to attend.

While there is no charge for this event, a freewill donation of $10 per person is suggested.
