Newtown Interfaith Council members are planning an interfaith Thanksgiving service for Sunday evening. They are hoping the event will be the first of an ongoing effort to provide fellowship and light into the New Year.

Ahead of the opening this month of The Sandy Hook Permanent Memorial, First Selectman Dan Rosenthal spent over an hour speaking with Newtown Interfaith Council members about the memorial, and assuring those present that they are a comfort to many in town. NIC members also began planning two annual interfaith gatherings.

The community is invited to a presentation at Trinity Episcopal Church, to be offered by the Very Rev Canon Alan G. Dennis and Jenny Dennis on Wednesday, November 9.
