Reed Intermediate School paraeducator Pamela Jackson was surprised with the news that she has been chosen as the Newtown Public Schools Paraeducator of the Year.

St Rose of Lima School’s eighth grade Class of 2019 graduated during a Mass/commencement ceremony held at the school and at St Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church on June 8.

St Rose of Lima’s preschool and kindergarten students graduated during two ceremonies at the school before the 2018-19 school year came to a close.

Reed Intermediate School sixth graders presented “State of the Meadow” projects on June 6 after working in partnership with the Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary (CVHAS).

From signing yearbooks to making slime and eating ice cream, Middle Gate Elementary School fourth grade students gathered at the school in the early evening of June 6 for a final celebration near the end of the 2018-19 school year.

As Reed Intermediate School Principal Anne Uberti welcomed her entire school community to an end of the year assembly on June 13, the last day of the 2018-19 school year, she said the musical event was for “sixth graders getting ready to move on and fifth graders getting ready to move up.”

For the second year in a row, Newtown High School students earned top marks for a creation while attending the EdAdvance Skills21 Expo Fest at the Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, held on June 1 this year.
