Research Revolution Video Discussion Series At Sacred Heart

 FAIRFIELD –– The Ryan-Matura Library of Sacred Heart University, in partnership with the Bridgeport Public Library, will host a free six-part viewing, reading, and discussion series titled “The Research Revolution: Science and the Shaping of Modern Life.” The library is one of 50 pilot libraries nationwide selected to participate in a project organized by National Video Resources (NVR) in partnership with the American Library Association (ALA) Public Programs Office. The project is funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), and locally by Sacred Heart University and the Bridgeport Public Library.

The “Research Revolution” aims to increase the public’s understanding of scientific discovery and technological transformation in the 20th Century. Other films to be discussed include Robotics, Tuesday, April 1, at the Ryan Matura Library’s Schine Auditorium; Genetics, Monday, April 7, at the Bridgeport Public Library’s North Branch, Madison Avenue; Forensics, Monday, April 14, at the Bridgeport Public Library’s North Branch, Madison Avenue; Global Warming, Tuesday, April 22, at the Ryan-Matura Library’s Schine Auditorium; and Biodiversity, Tuesday, April 29, at the Ryan-Matura Library’s Schine Auditorium.
