I am writing to introduce myself as a candidate for Board of Education in the upcoming election. I have been asked by many friends and family why I am running, and what I plan to accomplish in this role. The answer is very simple: I am going to put the kids first in all of my decisions. Making responsible decisions with the children's best interests in mind will guide me in every decision I make for the future of Newtown education.

My wife and I have been residents of Newtown for more than 20 years, and we have two children who have been raised in the Newtown school system. I also have the unique perspective of working as an accountant, an entrepreneur, and a teacher. This perspective will allow me to be fiscally responsible and promote programs of critical importance within the educational system at the same time.
