Pond Gardening

The Garden Club of Newtown will learn about pond gardening at its April meeting. Brad Cooper of Cooper Mulch and More will begin his slide and video presentation at 1 pm on Tuesday, April 29, at Cyrenius H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street in Newtown.

Mr Cooper will speak about water and pond gardening in Connecticut. His focus is on using “Mother Nature-oriented” design and management techniques to create a healthy and beautiful waterscape.  Topics will include aquatic plants demystified, landscaping the water feature, building and designing ponds and waterfalls, and naturalizing the pond to the Connecticut landscape.

The public is invited to attend the lecture, which is free of charge. Registration is not required. For more information call 270-1108.
