Ogden House Opening For Season On June 6

FAIRFIELD — Ogden House & Gardens, an 18th Century saltbox farmhouse at 1520 Bronson Road, will open for the season on Sunday, June 6. The Ogden House, owned and operated by Fairfield Historical Society, will be open to the public for tours every Sunday until September from 1 to 4:30 pm (except the Sunday of Labor Day weekend).

Built for David Ogden at the time of his marriage to Jane Sturges, the former farmhouse is one of the town’s oldest structures. Spared when the British burned Fairfield in 1779, it now offers a glimpse into the life of a farming family circa 1750.

Admission to the house is $2 for adults and $1 for children. For more information call the society at 203-259-1598.
