To the Editor:

I am writing to publicly thank Officer Chapman, Officer James, and Officer Greco of the Newtown Police Department for their generous support of our children. Earlier this week, they visited with my daughter's fourth grade class as part of her Citizenship Project. The students were completely engaged and asked some very good questions. Watching these officers respond with such kindness, and listening to their sensitive and thoughtful responses to the students was a wonderful experience for me, too. Thank you again, Officer Chapman, Officer James, and Officer Greco for going above and beyond the usual call to make the community a better place.
