To the Editor:

Congratulations to the NHS Skills21 students for earning the Sustainability Challenge Award for their project, "Bees and Love" at the Expo Fest in Wallingford on May 19.

These focused and dedicated students are to be commended for raising awareness of the importance of bees for pollination and [bees] decline by creating an informative website and spreading the word through social media. And if that wasn't enough, students also designed and executed innovative experiments to find alternatives to pesticides known to be toxic to bees.

Protect Our Pollinators wishes to thank these forward-thinking students for their efforts and dedication in supporting our most valuable pollinators.
