Newtown Board of Realtors Directors Cyndy DaSilva and Diane Licata kicked off the group's annual fundraiser to support the Newtown Animal Control Shelter at Your Healthy Pet on February 20.To donate at Your Healthy Pet, visit the store weekdays from 10 am to 7 pm, Saturdays from 10 am to 5 pm, and Sundays from 10 am to 2 pm.

Through Friday, March 23, a donation box will be set up inside Your Healthy Pet, 61 Church Hill Road; as well as in Coldwell Banker, 45 South Main Street; Berkshire Hathaway, 84 South Main Street; William Raveis, 14 Church Hill Road; and RE/MAX Real Estate, 43 South Main Street, offices in Newtown.

The local shelter is looking for both wet and dry food for dogs and cats, treats (no rawhide), cat litter, toys, laundry detergent, paper towels, contractor bags, dish-washing liquid, blankets, and towels.

The Newtown Board of Realtors will be collecting items in preparation for Donation Day At The Pound, scheduled for Saturday, March 24.
