New Morning Is Planning A Special Wine & Cheese Event

WOODBURY — New Morning Store will continue to celebrate its 30th anniversary in Woodbury with a special Wine & Cheese Event at Woodbury Library.

The public is invited to enjoy local and organic wines on Thursday, November 10, from 6 to 8:30 pm. The library is at 269 Main Street South (Route 6)

Hilary Criollo, the owner Hopkins Vineyard in New Preston, will have wines from Hopkins and Organic Vintages available and will be able to answer questions about any of the wines being tasted.

Guests can also sample local, artisanal goat, sheep and cow cheeses from Beaver Brook, Beltane Farms and others. Bantam Bread will offer delicious wholegrain breads, and there will also be hot beverages from Coffee, Tea, Etc. in Goshen.

In 2006, New Morning will be building a new “green” home in Woodbury on Main Street North. During the wine and cheese event visitors will be able to take a walk down memory lane. Photos and memorabilia from the store’s history in three Woodbury locations will be set up.

Featured musicians Kevin Makarewicz and Robert Weinstein will play Celtic folk music on cello, flute and guitar.

Admission is free, but reservations November 5 will help store employees plan accurately for the event. Emails can be sent to info@NewMorn.com or call 203-263-0673 extension 317 (ask for Gene Banks).
