Jessica Ann Shivy and Marko Joseph Fonovic were joined in marriage on November 23 at St Rose of Lima Church with the Rev Robert Weiss officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Dr and Mrs Victor Shivy of Southbury.
The groom is the son of Mr and Mrs Dario Fonovic of Myrtle Beach, S.C.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Her maid of honor was Jennifer Ann Shivy of Southbury.
The bridesmaids were MaryBeth Sugden of Shelton, Kimberly OâBrien of Canton, Petrice DiVanno of Sandy Hook, Christine Szala of Sheffield, Mass., and Lisa Maida of Florida.
The best man was Mark Salerno of Stratford.
The ushers were Tadd Naramore of Seymour, Manzoor Usman of Stamford, Pat Maldonado of Stamford, Colin OâBrien of Canton, and Vinnie Maida of Florida.
The bride earned her bachelorâs degree at Assumption College and master of science from Central Connecticut State University. She is a third grade teacher for the Newtown public schools.
The groom graduated from State University of New York at Delhi and is the owner of Fonovic Construction in Monroe.
A reception followed at the Litchfield Inn in Litchfield.
Following a wedding trip to Mexico, the couple is residing in Monroe.
