Mary E. Kinzel, 95, of Newtown, died peacefully June 24, at her home. She was born on October 21, 1922, in Port Chester.

Mrs Kinzel was a nurse at Greenwich Hospital, retiring in 1977. She then moved to Palm Harbor, Fla., where she was an active hospice volunteer. She later returned to Connecticut, spending many happy years at Nunnawauk Meadows.

Her children, Margaret Sabia of Newtown, John Sullivan of Fairfield, and Gail Pendergast of Tewksbury, Mass.; her grandchildren, Sean Sullivan, Jesse Sabia, Josh Sabia, and Brian Pendergast; and her two great-grandchildren survive her.

Her late husbands, Cornelius Sullivan and Harold Kinzel, predeceased her.

A celebration of Mrs Kinzel's life will take place Saturday, July 7, at 1:30 pm, in the Nunnawauk Meadows Community Room, 3 Nunnawauk Meadows, Newtown.

The Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, is in charge of arrangements.
