Scaling the Cliffs of Insanity, battling Rodents Of Unusual Size, facing torture in the Pit of Despair … true love has never been a snap. Rob Reiner brought William Goldman’s book to life in this star-studded 1987 fairy tale adventure centered around a beautiful young woman (Wright) and her one true love (Elwes), who must find her after a long separation and save her. They must battle the evils of the mythical kingdom of Florin and its ruler (Sarandon) to be reunited with each other. The screenings are the next offering in Newtown Cultural Arts Commission’s ongoing Someday Cinema Series.
