To the Editor:

The course has not changed; the winds still howl in the wrong direction, and our children continue to remain vulnerable. Fingers are pointed elsewhere; reality has been thrown to the wind. Heavily clouded lawmakers presume "humans are unaccountable" and seem content to sit in this fog. How unfortunate for our children - a magazine, a stock, a trigger, the "gun" is in the spotlight, and the human is dismissed. Logic, reason, reality would be that it is I, you, we that are in command of the very object that is held to blame, proclaiming anything other is ludicrous and continues to place our children's lives in peril.

With this mentality that humans are unaccountable and are not the culprit, the slaughter will continue. Those who are steadfast that "gun control" is the answer are the furthest off course, and apparently do not hold our children's safety nor their very lives in high regard; perhaps it never was. The madness will continue. Mass shootings will continue, and our children will perish. This will not end until the human is recognized as being at the helm and not the gun.
