ASIAN LANDSCAPES, MEDIEVAL & RENAISSANCE MANUSCRIPTS AT ALLEN ART, OBERLIN;

OBERLIN, OHIO —  Three exhibitions curated by Chung-Lan Wang,  Andrew Feng and Erik Inglis are on view at Oberlin College’s Allen Art Museum, Ripin Print Gallery, through June 2. “The Cultured Landscape in China and Japan,” “Expressions of the Literati in Suzhou” and “Illuminated Manuscripts from the Thirteenth through Sixteenth Centuries” present works from AMAM’s collections, as well as private collections.

Designed to be used in conjunction with courses at the college, these exhibitions showcase painted hand scrolls and woodblock prints, highlights from  four master Suzhou artists of the Ming dynasty and illuminated manuscript leaves from Italian, French, German and English books.
