Ingersoll Auto of Danbury will be sponsoring all ten screenings of Pete's Dragon scheduled at Edmond Town Hall Theatre this weekend.Pete's Dragon is rated PG-13, and has a running time of 1 hour, 43 minutes.

The auto dealer and service center, owned by Todd Ingersoll of Newtown, has been offering at least one free screening each month in the town's movie theater since January 2013. The offer is first come, first served. Edmond Town Hall is at 45 Main Street.

In an updated version of a film first released in 1977, this year's release features Robert Redford as Mr Meacham, "a woodcarver who delights local children with stories of a mysterious dragon that lives deep in the woods of the Pacific Northwest," according to a film synopsis on moviephone.com. "His daughter Grace (Bryce Dallas Howard) believes these are just tall tales, until she meets Pete (Oakes Fegley), a 10-year-old orphan who says he lives in the woods with a giant, friendly dragon. With help from a young girl named Natalie (Oona Laurence), Grace sets out to investigate if this fantastic claim can be true."

The film was released in August, and has reportedly grossed $122.6 million as of October 6, against a budget of $65 million.

It will be at the town hall October 7-13.

Evening screenings will be Friday and Saturday at 7 and 9 pm, then Sunday through Thursday at 7 pm.

Matinees are planned for Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday at 1 and 4 pm, and Tuesday at 1 pm.

Regular admission is $2 per person.
