Frank E. Davis, 69, of Newtown, died unexpectedly October 27 at Danbury Hospital. He was born in Danbury, April 29, 1944, to Gladys (Morgan) and Lorin Davis.

Mr Davis attended Bethel schools and graduated from Bethel High School in the Class of 1962. He worked for the Bard Parker Company and was employed by Perkin-Elmer for more than 20 years, where he worked on the Hexagon Satellite and the Hubbell Telescope. He was also employed by Pitney Bowes before retiring, due to illness.

In his spare time, Mr Davis enjoyed working on remodeling projects on his home and yard. Being a true Yankees and Giants fan, he supported both teams throughout their ups and downs. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, and was very proud of his children and grandchildren.

He will be remembered as a good friend and neighbor who was always willing to lend a helping hand when needed. He was a kind and generous person who made a friend everywhere he went. Mr Davis will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

His wife of 48 years, Sharon, of Newtown; his sons Richard, and wife Tina, and Shawn, and his beloved grandchildren Elizabeth and Ryan, all of Danbury; his brothers Robert, and wife Mary, of Abita Springs, La., and Gerald, and wife Maureen, of Port St Lucie, Fla.; his sister-in-laws Christine Austin, and husband Eugene, Patricia Egan, and husband John, and Maura Melody; his good friends Mary and Jim Wilson of Newtown; and several nieces and nephews survive Mr Davis. His parents, his brother Donald, and his mother-in-law Christine Melody predeceased him.

Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, Thursday, October 31, from 4 to 7 pm, where a funeral service will be held at 11 am, Friday, November 1. Entombment will follow at Wooster Cemetery.
