Flag To Be Lowered For Ofc Steve Ketchum

The Newtown Bee has been informed of the death of retired Newtown Police Office Steve Ketchum. The former patrol officer and motorcycle-based traffic enforcement specialist retired in May 2014 after 25 years of service.
Newtown Hook & Ladder firefighters will be lowering the flag on the Main Street flagpole at 9 am this morning.

Newtown Police Department will be taking a no-excuses approach to seatbelt law enforcement, writing citations day and night, during the current Click It Or Ticket seatbelt use campaign.
