The Resiliency Center of Newtown will offer a one-day workshop next week for college students, whether heading out for the first time or returning to school.

"Launch: Building Tools for Resiliency at Home and Away" will be presented at RCN, 135 South Main Street, on Wednesday, August 1, from 9 am until 3 pm.

The program will be facilitated by Jennifer Phelps, MD, and Jennifer Sokira, MMT, LCAT, MT-BC.

The women will help students build mind-body skills for being and staying well in college. Their program will cover nutrition, managing stress and emotions, positive coping strategies, and identifying internal and external resources for support and growth. There will also be time for questions and answers.

Cost is $25 per person, and participants must live in Newtown. Space is limited to ten students.

Registration is required and can be done by calling 203-364-9750 or sending email to Beth@resiliencycenterornewtown.org.
