Newtown Congregational Church will offer a musical gift to the community this holiday season.

The church will host a Community Holiday Concert on Saturday, December 1, at 7 pm.

Performances will be offered by The Steel Pan Drum Band and Newtown High School’s XY Chromotones (the high school’s male a cappella group). The evening will also include a community sing-along.

A post-concert cookie and cocoa reception will also be included, and the evening will conclude with the drawing of one winning ticket for the church’s Royal Caribbean cruise.

Admission to the concert is free.

Tickets for the raffle, which will provide a seven-day ocean cruise for two anywhere Royal Caribbean sails along with a $500 travel voucher to offset travel expenses, are $10 each. They are available at the church office, 14 West Street. Final sales will also be done that evening if tickets remain; no more than 1,500 tickets will be sold.

The winner does not need to be present on December 1 to win. They will be responsible for any taxes related to the trip, however.
