The quintet, nominated for a 2006 Grammy Award in the Chamber Music Category, is acclaimed as one of America's preeminent chamber ensembles. The highest musical integrity, irresistible energy and five-fold charisma distinguish Borealis in the chamber music field. Audiences have long enjoyed programming that includes the finest classics, engaging commissioned works, opera arias, and works for piano and winds.

The quintet will perform for the first time in Newtown on Sunday, April 17, at 3 pm. Their performance in the Edmond Town Hall Theatre will also serve as the finalé for the 2015-16 season of performances sponsored by Newtown Friends of Music.

An informal reception following the concert will offer concert goers the opportunity to meet and mingle with the musicians.
