The night will begin with an overview of the basics of photography including shutter speed, aperture and ISO. Additionally, technical conversations for the intermediate to advance photographers will be held.

This is a “hands-on” workshop, so attendees should bring their camera and questions. Advanced level photographers will be in attendance to answer questions and assist with camera settings.

While the club usually meets at C.H. Booth Library, this program will be in The Alexandria Room of Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street, due to the ongoing repairs at the library.

Two weeks later, on Thursday, February 20, the club host a general meeting and photo competition. This event will also be in The Alexandria Room of Edmond Town Hall. It will begin at 7:30 pm.

All are welcome to the meeting and for the critiques of the photos, but only members can enter the competition.

February’s assigned subject is “Abstract.” There will also be competitions in Black & White and Open Color.

Light refreshments will be served.

Flagpole Photographers is a local non-profit group that enables members to share their images and expertise, to learn and grow in their photography, and to enjoy the camaraderie of fellow photographers. Members are from diverse backgrounds, with photographic skills ranging from beginning novices to professional photographers.

The club’s season runs annually, September through June. Monthly print competitions are usually held at C.H. Booth Library on the third Thursday of the month, except where otherwise noted in our schedule. Additionally, the club offers hands on learning programs that also occur at the town library.

All dates, assigned subjects, and programs are included in the schedule online. Dues are $30 per person or $50 for a family membership. Students may join at no charge.
