Newtown MS at a 69.2 Accountability Index? Reed at 75.5 and Hawley at 78.9? Troubling downward trends, especially for high needs students. Who is accountable for this accountability report?
We have one of the lowest affordable housing statistics in the state, now isn't the time to stop. If towns prohibit affordable housing, or full rent housing the states shortage of housing will continue, and our states economy will pay the price. Newtown should be open to new neighbors, not shutting the door on them.
Actually Bruce, it's pretty easy to figure out who wingeey is- he writes a fair number of letters to the Bee on this subject and when commentators rub him the wrong way he'll show up post haste to engage.
Mr. Trudell has already jumped through more hoops than he should have been required. Asking him to conduct any more tests is unreasonable and tramples on his rights as a landowner. I hope he either goes 8-30 or even better yet drops the cluster home plan and develop the area around the lake. Six or Seven 3 million dollar homes and then throw some 8-30 closer to the road would look really nice in my opinion.
