American flags ready for retirement can be dropped off, until Monday, June 13, at:
Newtown Municipal Center, 3 Primrose Street (Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm)
C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street (Monday-Thursday, 9:30 am-8 pm; Friday-Saturday, 9:30 am-5 pm; Sunday, 12-5 pm)
The above locations have been set up for the drive being conducted by State Reps Mitch Bolinsky (R-106), Tony Scott (R-112), Raghib Allie-Brennan (D-2) and state Senator Tony Hwang (R-28), Newtown VFW Post 308 and BSA Troop 270.
The public is also welcome to drop off flags ready for retirement, year-round, at VFW Post 380, 18 Tinkerfield Road; and the office of The Newtown Bee, 5 Church Hill Road (M-F 8 am-5 pm, earlier and later by chance).
