What is the service your business offers? Music lessons for all instruments and voice. Student rock band coaching and performances.
What would you most like Newtown Bee readers to know about your business? After eight years of teaching guitar to students for college credit at Trinity College and setting six world records with students playing full albums I decided to bring my music expertise right here to our home town of Newtown.
As prior director of Camp Jam New York I worked alongside Billy Joel's drummer Liberty DeVito and .38 Special's guitarist Jeff Carlisi. We had an amazing time creating an amazing, fun, rock and roll band camp experience. I have taught guitar to the personal manager of both Miles Davis and Willie Nelson.
I've been playing guitar for 34 years and teaching the instrument professionally for 22 years. I studied music at the University of Bridgeport and taken private lessons with the international legendary jazz guitarist and educator Sal Salvador. I always strive to master different techniques and genres of music. This creative freedom to express myself is so important to me. I passionately believe in the power of music to uplift, challenge, spread joy, and build self-confidence.
Are you hosting any near-future promotions or events? We have a free raffle for the month of February for some awesome, fun things. Come see us at the table in the lobby at Edmond Town Hall before movies start to get a raffle ticket. The Edmond Town Hall is an exceptional location for our Music Academy. We have rooms the perfect size for full band rehearsals and private lessons. We get to have band rehearsals on the big theater stage and of course the theater is great for the big semester ending concert. I also really admire the history of Edmond Town Hall. It has a wonderful artistic atmosphere and environment. Over the last 78 years so many outstanding performances have occurred here and have meant the world to Newtown and surrounding towns.
