BACA Planning July 21 Open House

UPDATE (Thursday, July 12, 2018): Due to a scheduling conflict at the VFW Post, BACA has canceled this event. No new date has been announced.

The Western Connecticut chapter of Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA) will host its annual open house on Saturday, July 21, from 2 to 8 pm, at the Newtown VFW Post 308, 18 Tinkerfield Road.

Guests can enjoy food, drink, and raffle prizes. Donations are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. For more information, call 860-680-1178 or send e-mail to

BACA is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization. All proceeds benefit abused children.

According to

bacaworld.org: "Bikers Against Child Abuse, Inc exists with the intent to create a safer environment for abused children." The organization functions "as a body of bikers to empower children to not feel afraid of the world in which they live."

Members are ready to "lend support to our wounded friends by involving them with an established, united organization. We work in conjunction with local and state officials who are already in place to protect children. We desire to send a clear message to all involved with the abused child that this child is part of our organization, and that we are prepared to lend our physical and emotional support to them by affiliation, and our physical presence.

Refreshments will be served, and guests will be able to learn about the international group dedicated to protecting children from child abuse.
