Antiques Fair For Collectors & Glebe House Friends

WOODBURY — Barn Star Productions will conduct its second annual Woodbury Antiques Fair at Three Rivers Park on Saturday, June 5.

The event, which benefits the Glebe House Museum and Gertrude Jekyll Garden, presented dealers from more than a dozen states last year while raising funds for the museum’s many needs.

Says show promoter Frank Gaglio, “The Woodbury Antiques Fair at Three Rivers Park was a venture that paid off for both collectors and dealers alike [last year]. With the reputation the town of Woodbury has attained over the years as the ‘Antiques Capital of Connecticut,’ this important show focuses attention on New England and the wealth of antiquity available for purchase.”

One important change for this year’s show is that its date will not conflict with any other major antiques show that weekend, eliminating the question of which show to go to first. Second, the format of the show has changed from a two-day show to an exclusive one-day market, rain or shine.

Mr Gaglio is hoping to increase the number of exhibitors to approximately 200, thus increasing not only the scope and variety of objects available but broadening the price range of the show as well.

“In fine-tuning the show, we will be expanding the number of group tents available to dealers and adding an option of center-back walls, giving our exhibitors a platform to use their space to its fullest potential,” Mr Gaglio commented.

Show hours will begin with early buying from 8 to 10 am at $25 per person. General admission – from 10 am to 5 pm – will be $8 per person.

Three Rivers Park is on Jack’s Bridge Road, just off Route 47. For further information call 845-876-0616 or visit www.BarnStar.com.
