This auction is representative of very many fine estates and private collections from around the United States. There will be a preview Thursday, May 8, from 3 to 6:30 pm.

On offer are more than 150 phonographs: 30 wood cob, paper roll and book roller organs; and coin operated phonographs are represented by 35-plus disc, cylinder and interchangeable music boxes. Also, there will be talking dolls, more than 60 antique radios, antique 10-inch screen television sets, slot machines, Nipper items, parts and more.

Included with the music boxes will be a wonderful Stella 17¼-inch mahogany table model disc music box; a Regina 8-inch disc music; a Roller Organ “Home Music Box” wood cob roller organ; an excellent 11-inch cylinder music box (plays well) in an elaborately inlaid case with cast handles.

Other top lots include an F Conchon 12-inch cylinder music box; Polyphone model 42-R 11¼-inch single comb disc music box in walnut case with inlaid cover and original lithograph; a large and excellent Paillard cylinder music box with 18-inch cylinder with mandolin attachment and original tune card; LeCoultre 13¼-inch cylinder (LF-G-VE) music box; the “Alexandra” (No.7) cylinder box with interchangeable cylinders, a Nicole Freres drop-end, key wind cylinder music box with original tune card and a Jerome Thibouville-Lamy, Paris, cylinder music box.

There will also be bell boxes, dancers and more, with the majority of the offerings being from the Marjorie Owings estate of Sandusky, Ohio.

There will be other phonographs including Victors: a Victor O disc phonograph, Victor III disc phonograph with oak wooden horn, Victor V disc phonograph, Victor I disc phonograph with smooth oak wooden horn and a Victor type M disc phonograph machine and an excellent oak wooden smooth horn.

Edison is represented with a Triumph (model B) cylinder phonograph, Standard (model D) cylinder unit with “K” reproducer and wooden oak Music Master Cygnet horn, a rare Excelsior 5-cent coin-operated cylinder phonograph and a concert cylinder phonograph.

There are examples from Zon-o-phone — a glass sided “A” disc phonograph — and Pathe. From Columbia comes a type Q (first style) cylinder phonograph (rare with cardboard box), “Improved Sterling” (BII) disc phonograph, model BII disc phonograph with oak wooden, reproducer, model BD disc phonograph with mahogany wooden horn, and models AS and BS coin-operated phonographs, both excellent.
