Holiday Decorating Contest "Christmas Critics" James Barber, Laurie Silber, Jeffrey Capeci, Tor Gunnar Salbu, Gayle DiBenedetto, Joan Salbu, Rachel Swenson, George Linegarger (bus driver), Representative Mitch Bolinsky, Lois Imbriano Barber, Brittany Zima, Maryann Alves Morehouse, Kimberly Rissolo, and Maria Japon Konitshek spent more than four hours on Saturday evening, December 16, judging the 40 contest entries all around town.

Mr Bolinsky offered additional support by paying for stars created to mark the winners' homes.

The judges were particularly appreciative of the homeowners at 9 Serenity Lane "who had a roaring log fire in a fire pit in front of their house and who served hot chocolate and warm homemade chocolate chip cookies," as well as to All-Star Transportation's Alan Colangelo for the free use of the school bus for the night of judging, said contest organizer Lois Barber.

The 9 Founders Lane home of Rhonda and Chane Cullens was awarded overall Best In Show, an effort that Ms Cullens said "takes a few weeks to get everything down out of our attic, all of the reindeer put back together and lights fixed, then all the lights and decorations put up outside."

Additional photos of the event can be found at the Holiday Decorating Contest Facebook page.
