Aces On The Courts: Girls' Tennis Squad Has Winning Streak
Newtown High School’s girls’ tennis team won four matches in five days to carry a 5-4 record into a scheduled visit to Bethel on April 30. The Nighthawks defeated host Weston 5-2 on April 25, edged host Pomperaug of Southbury 4-3 on April 27, got past visiting Bunnell of Stratford 4-3 the next day, then posted a 6-1 triumph over visiting Stratford on April 29.
