Absentee Voting Saturday; Municipal Elections November 7
Town Clerk Debbie Halstead reminds Newtown voters that a special Saturday absentee voting session is set for November 4, from 9 am to noon, in the Municipal Center.
An absentee ballot may be applied for by any qualified registered voter unable to vote due to the following reasons:
*Illness or physical disability
*Absence from town during all election hours
*Religious beliefs forbidding secular activity on election day
*Serving as an election official at a polling place other than your own
*Active service in the Armed Forces
Polls Open November 7
Polls will be open from 6 am until 8 pm on Tuesday November 7 for municipal elections.
Newtown Polling Locations are:
District 1 and 1-5 - Newtown Middle School, 11 Queen Street;
District 2 and 3-2 - Reed Intermediate School, 3 Trades Lane; and
District 3-1 and 3-5 - Head O' Meadow School, 94 Boggs Hill Road.

Also, potential voters can register on Election Day; contact the local registrars of voters for details at 203-270-4250. Election Day Registration voters must be registered by 8 pm on Election Day.
