A Sign Of Spring From Troop 370

To the Editor:

Troop 370 recently held their annual "Lawn and Garden Products" fundraiser. It has become a traditional sign of spring when our Scouts learn valuable salesmanship skills while raising money to support their activities in Scouting. One of the best selling points to this program is that the products (bags of mulch, soil, seed, manure, etc.) are delivered to Newtown residents. Early on the morning of April 28th, our Scouts, along with their parents, delivered hundreds of bags of mulch and fertilizer to their customers, and I would like to share a few well-deserved "thank you's" as follows:

To Eunice and friends at Bagels Delight for donating bagels and fixings so that the Scouts and volunteers were energized.

To Troop 370 Scouts and parents for all of their effort and support.

To our Newtown families, friends, and neighbors for supporting Scouting and for appreciating the service that these Scouts do for our community.

We look forward to continuing this tradition next spring.

Yours in Scouting,

Alex Hoffert, Assistant Scoutmaster
