A Job Well Done

To the Editor,

As the millennium moves along I wish to announce that my devoted secretary and confidant of over 30 years has retired from my medical office. Having spoken with tens of thousands of people over these three decades we all owe a debt of gratitude for her endless patience, good advice, and thoughtful counsel in the face of despair and worry.

Yes, Evelyne M. Thomas has served all of us well with total dedication and responsible advice in crisis after crisis. In addition to the stressful pressures of community medicine, she has been and will continue to be a supporter of the Newtown Players where she has been producer, director, and actor.

As she begins a well-deserved retirement I know we all wish her well and hope she will continue to be an active member of our community. A “Well Done” from me personally and from all of her admirers.
