Ruth A.      Addessi

Ruth A. Addessi, 87, wife of John J. Addessi of South Main Street, died January 18 in Danbury Hospital.

Mrs Addessi was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on April 17, 1917, a daughter of the late Herman and Julia (Duffy) Michels. She was bookkeeper for her husband’s business, Addessi Auto Wrecking in Danbury, for many years.

A resident of Newtown for 47 years, Mrs Addessi was a communicant of St Rose of Lima Church and was bookkeeper there for many years.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a sister, Dorothy Clarke of Bethel and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by three brothers: Herman, Harold, and Ambrose Michels and by a sister, Geraldine McNiece.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 22, at 11:30 am, from the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown and at noon in St Rose of Lima Church for a Mass of Christian Burial.

Interment will follow in St Peter Cemetery, Danbury.

Friends may call Friday, January 21, from 4 to 9 pm.
