NHS Expansion

Newtown High School Principal Charles Dumais brought The Newtown Bee along for a tour of the school’s expansion project this week, and video from the tour can be found at www.newtownbee.com.

The expansion and renovation project broke ground on May 28, and at the start of the school year on September 2, as students made their way to classes with work continuing outside, Arthur Lindley, project manager with the Morganti Group, said the expansion and renovation was still continuing smoothly.

By the first day of the upcoming school year, the expansion should be completed for students to walk through the new main entrance. The renovation portion of the project is slated for completion in January 2011.
