To the Editor:

We endorse Paul Mangiafico’s candidacy for the Board of Police Commissioners. As neighbors, we have personally known Paul for about 14 years and have seen his leadership and problem-solving skills during our neighborhood association meetings.

Paul is a fair-minded person. He listens to all points of view and clearly communicates his personal preferences. Paul is a high energy, ethical, and thoughtful person. He is committed to making Newtown a safer community.

As a former selectman, he served our community well and has had many dealings with most Newtown officials. Paul is well qualified, and we are confident he will provide sound advice and leadership as a member of the Board of Police Commissioners.
